Over the Top

A couple of weeks I had the chance to meet the new jewellery collection of Mont Blanc, this collection has a fabulous quality and aesthetic in every single detail. All the pieces have simple shapes and components, but also have great sophistication.

Not like any brand, Mont Blanc realises a collection every year no matter the station of the year and each of them has a three years period time of sale and this time we found a silver collection, except for the princess Grace Kelly´s luxury collection that is made of pink gold.

Essentiel chic: The infinite and the Yin Yang sign are the inspiration of this collection. My favourite piece, the bangle, at first one will think it has a flexible complexion, but doe to the disposition of the links the bangle creates the perfect rigidity when the extremes are joined.

 

Âme de Star: Star soul is one of the most discreet representations of the famous Mont Blanc logo, it has the name of the brand engraved in the earing and in my opinion they are very versatile pieces because you can wear them with any other piece of any other collection of the brand or of your own.

Star spell: Of all my favourite, there´s no doubt that this collection has a younger touch, but it´s aesthetic and significance has the same enforcement as any other. The inspirational "star" is engraved over the superior cape of silver and it appears to have water movement by little waves in it´s surroundings.

It´s colours, black and golden, are created by a process called PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition). This process is for dye in many colours any type of steel by the vaporization of metals, in this way the silver maintains it´s components and acquires colour with no need to paint it or mix it´s composition.

Chic Ism: Faithful representation of what is chic. The colour of the pieces is made too by PVD, but in this case instead of the silver brightness it has, in black and white, a slight layer of diamond dashes.
Which is the must have? For me, the ring in white, no doubt.
 

Last, but not least, Grace Kelly´s fine collection ,inspired by a flower with it´s petals interlaced, it forms a circular movement that appears to be delicate, but also solid.

Mont Blanc has other collections as Charmed, conformed by a little golden circle intercepted in every piece and Volupté, that plays with the volume and the white, black colours with diamond dashes in the interior of all the pieces.

Wait for the next collection "Love proves" that was inspired in different love stories to be resembled in every piece.
